The NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse, located in Iowa City, Iowa, is the organization that handles ALL inquiries regarding an individual's initial eligibility status. The Clearinghouse operates a separate Web site at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net which maintains and processes all of the initial-eligibility certifications.

 

Here at Keylon-Randolph Fastpitch Academy, Inc. we know from experience how difficult it is for aspiring collegiate athletes to get the exposure they need. Our collegiate connection program is designed for high school and junior college athletes to maximize opportunities to obtain athletic scholarships through a combination of training, evaluation and consultation. We provide the following services:

• Promotion of athletes to colleges and universities nation wide

• We will guide you through writing your introduction letters

• We will follow-up your letters with calls to colleges and universities

• Provide you with an outline of player profile sheets

• We will send your high school and ASA softball schedules to potential scholarship institutions.

• Provide an up to date list of college camps that you could attend to further your exposure to them

• Guide you on registration with the Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse

2002 debuted the First Annual College Kick-Off.

Keylon-Randolph Fastpitch Academy sought the best softball players in and around the Chattanooga area to showcase their talent at the 2002 Chattanooga College Kick-Off, an individual showcase event, held on October 30, 2002.  The annual showcase event is held at Chattanooga State Technical Community College where college coaches assess top-quality prospects showcasing their talent at one event on one field.  Keylon-Randolph Fastpitch Academy Chattanooga College Kick-Off  is designed specifically for high school and junior college fastpitch softball players who have the talent and dedication required to play at the college level.

This showcase features the premier fastpitch softball players in the southeast region.  We feel that these players will benefit from the college exposure generated by this invitation-only showcase event.  Individual skills are showcased in pitching, catching, infield, outfield, base-running and hitting.   Players are drilled extensively at their positions and timed on base-running speed.  Radar is used to time the speed of pitchers’ various pitches, and catchers will be timed on their catch release.
