Camp Testimonials...

At KFA's recent Christmas Camp, we had a number of parents, coaches and players write in to tell us how much they enjoyed camp.  Following are a few of the comments from camp attendees:

Melissa Williams (Team – Vipers) – “Kendall enjoyed this camp.  She particularly liked the pitching.  The end of each day when the games were played was fun for both the girls and the parents.  The coaches were supportive, while teaching.  Always positive, teaching attitude and effort!!! Thanks!

Kelly Ellis – “This is my daughter’s second KFA softball camp.  What I have liked most about both camps is that Shelby (6 years old) has learned so much and has really improved her playing skills while also having a great time.  She is eager to return every day.  All of the instructors seem to enjoy teaching the girls.  The viewing area for the parents is also very nice.  The Soddy Daisy facility is great.  Although it is a substantial drive from Chickamauga, it is definitely worth it.  I would (and have) recommended the KFA camps to any player of any age who is interested in improving her game!”

Bill Hicks – “I liked the coaches, the camp’s organized approach to teaching skills of softball.  I liked the coach to player ratio.  I liked especially the individual instruction, the coaches’ patience, the institution tailored to the athlete’s level of development.  I liked the integration of all skills levels so that the least experienced could learn also from watching – up close – the work of the more skilled or more experienced athletes.    I liked the coaches enthusiasm for teaching and their encouragement of each player.  I liked the facility, it’s set-up and how Beth and the coaches used it to teach the various skills.  I liked the way a “team” atmosphere was created among the athletes.” NOTE:  First camp EVER; First EVER experience with softball for my daughter.

Kristen Adkins – Texas Glory – “This camp, I feel is the strongest camp I’ve ever attended.  I enjoy being around the staff and, of course, the campers too.  After having gone to many other camps, I like this one best.  It’s always fun and friendly.  I feel like there really are no weak areas; you always touch every aspect of the game (including dads) and you make every lesson crystal clear.  I look forward to coming back next year and tracking your success this season.  Best of luck and Great Job!”

Dan Adkins – Texas Glory Gold – The 2004 Christmas Camp is the third one Kristen has attended.  Kristen looks forward each year to this camp.  She was excited to be a part of the first Elite Camp.  Kristen respects and enjoys working with Coach Keylon-Randolph and the other instructors at the camp.  She particularly likes the extensive warm-up and stretching that the campers go through each day.  Kristen enjoys working with coaches that have played at the collegiate level.  She wants to learn as much as possible in order to reach her goals in the future.  The staff provides a positive role model for other young ladies to follow in their own careers.  Our only negative comment is that the camp had to end and we have to go back to Texas.  We will use what Kristen has learned to help improve our team for the 2005 season.  Kristen will be participating in the Hall of Fame tournament, National qualifiers and ASA 16-under Nationals in South Dakota this summer.  Some of our success will be attributed to the Christmas Elite Camp and Coaches.  Thanks for a great time!”

Jacque West – “We were very, very pleased about the whole experience.  The encouragement and patience for each child.  The things that you explained about how to use the body for power.  We were very pleased.”

Lynn Humphries – “We liked the knowledgeable, friendly instructors and great facility.  Particularly I liked the observation deck where parents can observe the instruction and learn themselves.”

Jennifer Taylor – Chatt. Vipers 12 U, Frost Falcons 8U – “Sam and Addi really enjoy the Christmas Camp.  Addi is real excited about learning to pitch.  The camp has great instruction and creates a positive attitude with the girls.  We look forward to the next camp.”

Lauren Lybrand – GA Glory – “I liked the ladder drills the best.  I learned a lot about hitting.”

Darlene Lybrand – Ga Glory – “As always, it was a great camp!  Lauren always improves after each camp.  I really like the camps because you really spend time on correcting the mistakes.  It was a great camp.  You also have great counselors that set good examples!”

Jay Blalock – GA Vipers – “I liked the quality instruction given.  My daughter enjoyed the agility drills and exercises.  I appreciate all the experience your instructors have to offer and how well they communicate to the girls.”

Angie Howard – Frost Falcons 8U – “I am very impressed with the communication from Beth.  You would think she is talking one-on-one instead of a group.  I am impressed with the enthusiasm of all involved.  Kirby has had a great time.  It is fun to learn when the instructor enjoys her job.”

Cassie Reardon – Sale Creek Panthers –“We are just glad to have a camp for High School girls.  Thanks!”

Larry & Cindy Foreman – Ohio – “We found Keylon-Randolph Fastpitch Camp, much better than we expected, even better than their web site claims.  Each trainer paid total attention to all the girls complimenting them for what they did correctly and showing them how to correct their mistakes.  Plus the exercises the girls learn here, should drastically reduce any physical injuries in their playing future.”
