"BEST OF THE BEST" SUMMER CAMPS
Girls Fastpitch Softball Camps
All Camps will be held
at Chattanooga State Softball Field located at 4501 Amnicola Highway
Chattanooga, TN 37406
Camp #1
June 2-4 (Monday – Wednesday)
Pitcher / Catcher Camp 9:00 am to 11:30 am
Cost: $75.00
Players ages 7-23 will have the opportunity
to learn from the best teachers in the game at the pitcher/catcher
camp. Hall of Fame Coach Beth Keylon-Randolph will lead the pitching
camp while Assistant Coaches Jamie Qualls and Steve Jaecks will lead the
catching sessions. These coaches will be joined by outstanding
All-Conference collegiate players during the entire camp. Players will
learn the fundamentals of their respective position as well be taught
skills and drills that will immediately improve their game. The camp
will feature several drill stations as well as live pitching to coaches
and catchers. The mental game will be taught through several exercises
designed to improve each players’ EI (Emotional Intelligence). Pitchers
will be shown several exercises to improve their fastball, master the
change-up and learn new pitches during the camp. Catchers will cover
proper footwork and mechanics for blocking as well as improve their
glove to glove times. Catchers will be taught how to read hitters and
secrets to help the pitchers sit down the hitters. We love for our
catchers to learn how to call the game so expect to learn game strategy
and game situations. Conditioning drills will be taught to both
pitchers and catchers to help with stamina. Campers of all abilities
are welcome. Groups will be based on skill level.
Camp #2
June 2-4 (Monday – Wednesday)
Hitting / Defense Camp 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Cost: $75.00
Players ages 7-18 will have the opportunity
to learn from several collegiate players and coaches all the
fundamentals and drills for hitting and defense. This camp will teach
players how to hit with power and consistency. Chattanooga State
softball players use a hitting style that has allowed the entire team to
hit .350 over the past 6 years. Home run records and slugging
percentage records have been shattered since implementing this system.
Come learn how easy it is to hit with power! Have fun learning new
drills and hitting, hitting, hitting, and hitting! The defensive
portion will cover tons of drills to improve your fielding skills and
position work.
Camp #3
June 5
(Thursday) Slapping Camp 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Cost: $35.00
Players ages 7-18 will have the opportunity
to learn the ins and outs of left handed slapping and left handed
hitting. This camp will teach players the footwork and mechanics of
power slapping, soft slap and drag bunting. No defense, no pitching,
no catching, JUST SLAPPING! Immediately improve your threat as a
slapper with this camp. Several collegiate slap hitters will be
instructing at the camp along with the Chattanooga State Staff.

#4 June 9-11 (Monday – Wednesday)

Our 14th Annual Best of the Best
camp covers all aspects of the game including live scrimmages, games,
circuit training, team building exercises and just plain FUN! Don’t
miss out on this camp as it is always the most popular during the
summer. We will explore scavenger hunts, determine the home run derby
champion, honor the steal a thon champ and fundamentals of every
position! This camp is designed for the beginner yet challenging
enough for the most advanced players. All campers will be taught
skills according to their ability.

#5 June 17-19 (Tuesday – Thursday)
Little Tiger Camp Ages 5 to 8 only 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Cost: $100.00
The Little Tiger Camp is designed to
introduce the skills of softball/baseball to the younger girls and boys.
This camp will focus on movement, reaction, FUN, skill development,
coordination, FUN, interaction, following the movement of the game,
FUN...and did we mention FUN? It is a camp that allows each child
to experience success within the game while learning skills that will
help them improve in league play.

Sisters may
take an additional $10.00 off total camp fees.
KFA members may take an additional $15.00 off multiple day camps and
$5.00 off single day camps.
Register
and pay for 5 or more campers in the same envelope on the same day and receive a $20.00
discount off multiple day camps and $10.00 discount off single day
camps. This discount is only applicable for pre-registered
campers.
Example: 6 campers register for the
Best of the Best in the same envelope, total cost is $105.00 per
person. If any campers are KFA members, the cost would be $90.00 per
person. If there are sisters registering, the cost would be $95.00 per
person for non-KFA members and $80.00 for KFA members.
Deadline to
register is 3 days prior to the start of each camp
to ensure instructor camper ratio of 1:8. Walk-up registrations
will be accepted if there is availability. NO DISCOUNTS FOR GROUP
REGISTRATION WILL BE GIVEN THE DAY OF CAMP! ONLY PRE-REGISTERED
CAMPERS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR GROUP DISCOUNTS.

INSTRUCTORS Camp Instructors
will consist of select members of the Keylon-Randolph
Fastpitch Academy as well as several top collegiate athletes
from Chattanooga State, Armstrong Atlantic Univeristy, East
Tennessee State University and others, ensuring a camper to coach ratio of 8:1.

DIRECTOR
BETH KEYLON-RANDOLPH Beth and her staff
provide an outstanding opportunity for players of all ages to
develop the skills necessary to excel in the sport of
fastpitch softball. With 24 years of playing experience, 12
years of coaching experience in Top 25 NCAA and NJCAA Division
1 Schools, campers will be challenged to improve their
softball skills, learn more about the game, and discover what
it takes to become a better softball player. Beth is an
exceptional teacher of the game while combining fundamentals
with fun. Campers will leave with a sense of confidence in
their abilities as well as many new ideas that will enhance
their playing abilities.
Cancellation Policy: If for any reason you can not
attend camp, your camp tuition will be forwarded to summer camp 2009.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 3 Days prior to the first day
of the camp you are attending. After the deadline, a late registration fee of $20 will be
added. Email registrations will be accepted up until the night
before camp begins.
